FCX players going Pro!

Another amazing milestone for FCX Soccer club was reached last week, former FCX standout, Jenna Szczesny was drafted in the NWSL as the number 35 pick. Jenna was drafted by the Chicago Red stars, the local professional women's soccer club. Jenna is a Barrington High School graduate who played her entire club soccer career with FCX. She is currently a senior attending Loyola University, majoring in Exercise Science.

One of Jenna's former coaches, FCX DOC Stuart Peek said this about Jenna; "Jenna epitomizes all you could ever want in a player and person. She is hardworking, driven, has a will to improve, and is genuinely a great teammate and person. She is beyond humble for all she has achieved so far, and I personally see her going even further. I could not be happier or prouder of her achievements and I wish her the best of luck as she continues her soccer career at the Professional level."

This makes two FCX players in the last year who have made it to the professional ranks, along with Jenna, former FCX player Giles Phillips, who is currently playing in England for QPR of London.
