COVID-19 RETURN TO PLAY

Please review all current policies below!

Updates as of November 17th: Please check back regularly

FROM ILLINOIS YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCATION (BASA/FCX governing body) The state of Illinois has announced that effective November 20, 2020 at 12:01am new mitigation requirements to combat the surge of COVID-19 across Illinois are in effect.  You can find the complete Tier 3 Surge Mitigation document here.

Based on these new mitigation requirements, effect November 20 at 12:01am:

  • All indoor sports activities are suspended and no indoor activities are covered by Illinois Youth Soccer insurance
  • Non-contact outdoor practices can be held but are limited to up to 10 people or less with social distancing
  • Face coverings required at all activities at all times.

For questions concerning the mitigations issued in your area, please contact your local city or county health departments for clarification.

At this time BASA/FCX is on scheduled break for Thanksgiving November 20th-29th. We are suppose to return to the fields November 30th-December 10th before Winter Break. As we learn more we will update the members. An email went to all current participants today on what are plans are going forward if we are unable to return to indoor training.

Updates October 26th 2020

For all BASA/FCX Indoor activities players should wear a mask/face covering while participating please see below for IDPH guideline regarding Youth Sports and Indoor.

IDPH CUSTOMER BEHAVIOR SECTION
2. For non school-based or non school-sponsored activities:
 b. When exercising indoors, face coverings should be worn at all times, including while exercising or participating in practices or competition

For all activities at Canlan there will be specific protocols in place

Canlan Protocols:

  • All participants must check in at the front tent. Please allow enough time for your child to check in and get to practice on time. A health questionnaire will need to be filled out in advance by the parent the day of their arrival. The questionnaire will ask you what time you are participating, this helps us sort by actual times and speeds up the check in process so be sure to select the time your child has their practice. http://www.canlansports.com/questions/

  • Once checked in, participants will be lined up based on what field they are on. Please make sure they know where they are supposed to be going. A Zone Control attendant will escort the participants to their field and explain which door they will use to exit.

  • Each participant will use hand sanitizer and have them temp taken before they are transported to their location of practice.

  • All participants must wear a mask. They will not gain access to the building without a mask.

  • There are NO spectators allowed in the building at this time, only participants and coaches in order to reduce the risk (except BASA TOT soccer can have a parent present but no siblings). We hope by the January Rec league 1 spectator per player will be allowed (we will update as we learn more)

  • Concessions and vending machines are currently closed along with all of our water fountains so please be sure your participant is prepared with plenty of water and anything else they may need.

  • At the end of practice we ask that you move your participants off the field/courts as quickly as possible so that we can keep groups separate as we transition people on and off each surface.

  • As a reminder there is going to be a lot of traffic during peak times and we want to remind you not to drop off in the fire lane. This is a heavily trafficked area with participants walking across from the parking lot to the facility and we want to keep everyone as safe as possible. Park your car and let your child out or escort them to the facility to help check them in if necessary.

  • If your child or anyone in your family is exhibiting any symptoms, please stay home. If anyone in your family tests positive for Covid, please notify us right away along with your coach.

1. Everyone must enter through the main entrance door

2. Everyone must fill out a Covid 19 questionnaire prior to entry each day CLICK HERE for link

3. All players will exit the building in a specific way. Click Here to view EXIT DOORS. Parents must be on time for pickup and must remain outside. If you have a younger player please make sure to arrive early, park your car near their assigned EXIT DOOR and meet your player outside at the DOOR.

4. Spectators at this time are not allowed except during Tot classes.
